In my thirties, I discovered something crazy hilarious: Monty Python’s Flying Circus. It was raunchy, racy and downright dirty at times, but it also revealed hilarious truths about people in general. You see, much of what I considered funny was the constant addressing of the complaints of people who would find the more racy stuff offensive. And there were “embedded” complaints about how this was offensive or that was offensive, but somehow the Flying Circus made it all funny. It’s about as hard to explain at this time in the morning as I am very tired, but I promise to expand on it soon.
